I realize that this Prompt Advent Calendar is a little like the chocolate one I got my kids: spotty in its daily delivery, but—I hope—still providing an occasional surprise at a busy time of year.
A few months ago I created a new note on my phone called “Stranger Than Fiction” with the idea that I’d fill it with bits of news I came across that seemed like perfect prompts. I’ve been trying to make the prompts in this newsletter useful across genres but I think this one is likely destined to be a fiction prompt for most readers.
